Raising the level of retailing
In 2001 and with an ever-increasing range of product lines, Yees saw a need to provide customers with an avenue to look, buy and try our range in single quantity. From this, our first retail shop opened at our warehouse complex which proved highly popular, not just for shopping but as a meeting place. Customers from all over the country arrived to purchase single or wholesale goods.
Without a clear option for smaller, boutique, first grade supermarkets in Fiji, Yees took the opportunity to capture the market by opening a delicatessan and an express grocery store on Denarau Island. In 2010, our first boutique department store was launched, specialising in electronics, fashion, jewellery, fragrances and souvenirs. The result today is three flagship retail outlets with a commitment to quality, raising the level of retailing in Fiji.
